Free Discord Nitro: 3 Nitro Gift Links Every Week

How does the GhostTogether Nitro giveaway work?

1. Sign up for a free GhostTogether account. That’s your entry — no reacting, no role reqs, no invite reqs.
2. Wait for Friday. We draw 3 winners from that week’s new members.
3. Check your email. Winners get an email with an official Discord gift link.
4. Claim it on your own Discord account: open the link, log in to Discord, press Accept. That’s it — Nitro is on.

Who can enter

• Anyone old enough to have a Discord account — 13 or older in most countries (a few countries set the age higher).
• One entry per person; alt accounts aren’t part of the draw.
• Your entry counts for the draw at the end of the week you join.
• Already won? Invite 10 friends with your personal GhostTogether invite link and stay active, and you can enter again 30 days after your win.

How you receive your gift link

Winners are shown at the top of this page with their avatar, a bit of their bio and the date they won. Your prize arrives by email as a normal Discord gift link (it starts with https://discord.gift/). We buy every Nitro from Discord and send the link — all you do is open it and press Accept. We never need your Discord password or login.

What do you get with Discord Nitro?

Nitro is Discord’s paid membership: $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year in the US (prices vary by country), with a cheaper Nitro Basic at $2.99 a month. A month of full Nitro unlocks:

• Custom emoji and stickers anywhere — use any server’s emoji in every server and DM, animated ones included.
• 2 server boosts plus 30% off extra boosts, so you can level up your favorite server.
• HD streaming — Go Live and screen share at higher resolution and frame rate.
• Much bigger uploads — free accounts can send files up to 20MB (Discord raised it in August 2026); Nitro takes you into the hundreds of megabytes.
• An animated avatar and profile banner, plus profile themes.
• Super Reactions, your own sounds from the soundboard in any server, and custom app icons.
• Longer messages (up to 4,000 characters) and room to join up to 200 servers.
• The Nitro badge on your profile, which levels up the longer you subscribe.

Nitro vs Nitro Basic

Our giveaway is full Nitro — the one with the boosts and the animated profile.

How can you get Nitro for free in 2026?

Free Nitro is real. It comes from a handful of places, and these are the ones that actually pay out:

1. Giveaways (like ours)

Communities, creators and servers buy Nitro gift links and hand them out — that’s what a “nitro giveaway server” is. Ours draws 3 winners every Friday from new GhostTogether members, and joining is the only step: sign up here.

2. Discord Quests and Orbs

Quests are Discord’s own sponsored challenges — play a game or watch a stream for a set time — and many of them pay out in Orbs, Discord’s reward currency. Orbs can’t be bought; you earn them and spend them in the Orbs Shop, where Nitro credit (a few days of Nitro) is one of the rewards. You’ll find Quests in the Discover area of the Discord app.

3. Partner promotions

Every few months a partner hands out free Nitro months. In 2026 alone there were offers through the Epic Games Store (May to June), Tracker.gg (June), the NVIDIA app (until August 24) and Meta Quest (until September 30). These come in waves and end on fixed dates, so when one is live, claim it before its deadline — the partner’s page and Discord’s help center list the exact dates.

4. Xbox Game Pass perks

Free Discord Nitro with Xbox Game Pass is one of the most searched phrases, because Game Pass Ultimate has carried Nitro offers in its Perks section in past years. Offers rotate, so open the Perks section of the Xbox app or your console to see what’s live right now.

5. Gifts from friends

Anyone can buy Nitro as a gift and send it as a link. Discord is even rewarding gifters with a new Gifting Badge that levels up with every gift sent: Patron (1 gift), Champion (2), Luminary (3), Icon (6), Hero (10) and Legend (20). It’s still rolling out, so names and numbers may shift.

6. Nitro free trials

Discord now and then offers free Nitro trials to some accounts — discord nitro free trial is one of the top searches about Nitro. When your account has one, it shows up inside the Discord app.

Giveaway lingo: what every word in a gw channel means

Giveaway channels have their own language. Here’s the full dictionary:

gw / gaw

Giveaway. gw ends in 1h means the draw is an hour away.

🎉 / react to enter

The classic way into a giveaway-bot giveaway: react with the party emoji. Newer bots use an Enter button instead.

req / reqs

Requirements to enter: a role req, a level req (your chat level from a leveling bot), a msg req (send a number of messages) or an invite req (invite people to the server).

bypass role

A role — often boosters or donors — that skips the reqs.

host / sponsor

Whoever is paying for the prize.

drop

An instant giveaway: the first person to click or type wins. A “nitro drop” is a Nitro gift link dropped this way.

reroll

The bot picks a new winner, usually because the first one didn’t claim in time.

claim time

How long a winner has to DM the host before a reroll — often 24 or 48 hours.

gw ping

A role that gets pinged for every new giveaway.

alt

A second account. Most giveaways leave alts out, and many bots check account age.

sniper / nitro sniper

A self-bot that auto-claims gift links the moment they’re posted. Self-bots are against Discord’s rules, which is why hosts send winners their link privately.

ty for gw / tysm

Thank you for the giveaway — the standard reply after a draw.

the link / gift link

The discord.gift link that holds the Nitro.

Nitro, boost and badge words

boost / booster

Spending a Nitro boost on a server. Boosters get the pink booster role and a boost badge next to their name.

server level

Boosts unlock server levels: Level 1 at 2 boosts, Level 2 at 7, Level 3 at 14 — more emoji slots, better voice audio, bigger uploads for everyone, and a vanity invite link at Level 3. Boosts can also go to separate perks such as Server Tags and Enhanced Role Styles (3 boosts each).

vanity

A custom invite link (discord.gg/yourname), unlocked at Level 3.

Nitro badge / evolving badge

The badge on your profile that changes as you stay subscribed: Bronze (1 month), Silver (3), Gold (6), Platinum (12), Diamond (24), Emerald (36), Ruby (60) and Opal (72+ months).

OG badge / Early Supporter

The badge for people who had Nitro before October 10, 2018. It can’t be earned anymore, which is exactly why people flex it.

gifting badge

Discord’s newer badge for sending gifts: Patron, Champion, Luminary, Icon, Hero, Legend.

Nitro Classic

An older Nitro tier, since replaced by Nitro Basic.

decos

Avatar decorations — animated frames around your pfp from the Discord Shop.

profile effects

Animations that play when someone opens your profile.

nameplates

Shop items that add art behind your name in member lists.

Orbs / Quests

Orbs are Discord’s reward currency; Quests are the sponsored in-app challenges that pay them out.

Super Reactions

Animated “burst” reactions — unlimited with Nitro.

soundboard

Short sound clips you play in voice chat; Nitro lets you use your own sounds in any server.

server tag

A short tag from a server shown next to your name everywhere — the newer version of “clan tags”.

FakeNitro

A client-mod plugin that posts emoji as image links. It isn’t Nitro, and client mods break Discord’s terms.

Everyday Discord slang

Gaming words you’ll hear in every server

• main / alt — the character, class or account you play most / a second one.
• carry — playing so well you win for the whole team (“he carried”).
• sweat / tryhard — someone playing a casual match like it’s a tournament.
• meta — the strongest picks and strategies right now.
• buff / nerf — a patch making something stronger / weaker.
• OP — overpowered.
• clutch — winning a round from a nearly lost position.
• throw — losing a game you should have won.
• smurf — a skilled player on a new account in low-ranked games.
• grind — repeating something for XP, loot or rank.
• F2P / P2W — free to play / pay to win.
• whale — a player who spends big on a game.
• AFK farming — earning rewards while barely playing.
• griefing — ruining other players’ fun on purpose.
• queue / ranked / lobby — waiting for a match / the competitive mode / the pre-game room.
• loot / skin / drip — rewards / cosmetic looks / a great-looking outfit.
• 1v1 — a one-on-one match.
• pull — one roll on a gacha banner.

How do you tell a real Nitro gift link?

A real Nitro gift is easy to recognize once you know what to look for:

A little reminder, because the internet is full of tricksters: a real prize from us arrives by email at the address on your GhostTogether account, and we will never ask for your Discord password.

• It starts with https://discord.gift/ or https://discord.com/gifts/ — check every letter of the domain.
• Opening it shows Discord’s own gift screen with an Accept button, in the Discord app or on discord.com.
• It never asks you to type your password on another site, scan a QR code or download anything.
• A gift link posted in a public channel can be claimed by anyone, so good hosts send each winner their link privately.

That’s exactly what GhostTogether winners get: a plain discord.gift link by email. Open it, press Accept, enjoy your month of Nitro.

Questions and answers

How can I get Discord Nitro for free?

Win it in a giveaway, earn it, or claim a promotion. GhostTogether gives away 3 Nitro gift links (1 month each) every week to new members — signing up is the entry. You can also earn Orbs from Discord Quests and trade them for Nitro credit, and watch for partner promotions and Game Pass perks.

Is free Discord Nitro real?

Yes. Nitro can be bought as a gift and sent as a link, which is how every real giveaway works. A real gift link starts with https://discord.gift/ or https://discord.com/gifts/ and opens Discord’s own Accept screen.

How do I claim a Discord Nitro gift link?

Open the link, log in to the Discord account you want the Nitro on, and press Accept. Double-check you’re on the right account first, since a claimed gift stays on that account.

What is the difference between Nitro and Nitro Basic?

Nitro ($9.99 a month in the US) includes 2 server boosts, HD streaming, an animated avatar and banner, and the biggest uploads. Nitro Basic ($2.99 a month) covers custom emoji anywhere, 50MB uploads, the Nitro badge and custom app icons.

What are Discord Orbs and Quests?

Quests are sponsored challenges inside Discord — play a game or watch a stream for a set time — and many reward Orbs. Orbs can’t be bought; you spend them in the Orbs Shop on items such as Nitro credit, decorations and profile effects.
